The joy of graduation

Yesterday (18th July) was graduation day. How fetching I look in my splendid robes, no? Truly, it was a great day to be standing around in clothes like this, given the 34 degree C temperatures. There are other photos, but I won't post them here. Think 'When newly graduated doctoral candidates attack' and 'Naish: super-doctor!'. Right, back to the leptocleidine pliosaurs.

For the latest news on Tetrapod Zoology do go here.

Congratulations Darren! Impressive robes-- not much like them on this side of the pond, save those of some of the professors at Odious and Peculiar's alma mater.

Congratulations, Darren. Not much cooler than a doctorate in dinosaurs.

Oh, and the robes (and hat) are lovely. I like things that harmlessly carry on traditions that go back to the middle ages.

Congratulations, Dr. Naish!!! I sure hope you get to keep the threads. If the paleontology thing ever gets old, you can always tour with Rick Wakeman.
